The Power Behind Me

I don’t know about you, but I’ve been guilty. Guilty of using prayer as a last resort at times. Guilty of not taking it seriously enough. Guilty of saying I would pray about something and then forgetting until I collapse into bed that evening. Guilty of not accessing the power that is available to me. Guilty as charged.

When I started this journey (I still don’t know what to call all of this) last year after the Speak Up Conference, I had countless people who supported me. Honestly, they had encouraged me in a variety of ways prior to last year. But this was different. I sensed God telling me that there was more. So I vowed to be obedient and to listen to what He was saying.

When I returned from the conference this year, I knew I needed a group of women who would join me in asking God for the following: 1) that I would always focus on Jesus 2) opportunities to network, etc. 3) finances 4) target audience 5) other specific topics as they presented themselves. As I considered who these ladies would be, I knew they had to be warriors. They wouldn’t be what I described above, using prayer when all else has failed.

It didn’t take long for God to give me those names. Now I obviously understand that I have many other people who have and will continue to support me in this way. But these ladies…………well, they really stepped up. They’ve agreed to meet via TEAMS two times each month. They’re holding me accountable. They’re offering amazing advice and councel. And I promise you this: I can literally feel their prayers. My mind and heart have been opened to some incredible things. I have a confidence that baffles me. They are moving heaven and earth every day.

I’m still pretty clueless about where all of this is going. I’m just trusting that God is hearing our prayers. I could never adequately thank them for the sacrifice of their time and for their love of Jesus. But I thought it was important that all of you know about the power behind me. God’s warriors have names: Sarah Miller, Annette Mandrell, Pam Waits, Melissa Himstedt, Melissa Miller and not pictured are April Smith, Chantel Fowler, and Stephanie Rickly. I love you girls so very much!
